My Approach to Therapy
Guiding you with empathy, evidence-based techniques, and a commitment to your growth.
I offer a warm, client-centered approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and trauma-informed care. My goal is to empower you to manage anxiety, overcome challenging thought patterns, disconfirm and master core fears, and build lasting skills for emotional well being.
I enjoy connecting with my clients by understanding and meeting their unique needs. My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I'm passionate about using to guide my clients through challenging thought patterns that contribute to anxiety and distress. I also believe it's essential to approach every client with a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the diverse experiences that shape us. This means I strive to create an environment where you feel understood and supported, tailoring our work to your comfort and individual journey.
Recently, I have had the privilege of being extensively trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) by the Cognitive Behavioral Institute to treat clients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). By educating my clients about what OCD is and explaining how ERP works, it has been a very rewarding experience to guide my clients to target their core fears and overcome their compulsions. I am truly excited about the positive impact it has for my clients.
Together, we can explore effective strategies and coping skills, helping you manage difficult emotions and regain a sense of control and peace. My aim is to empower you in each session, so you can confidently navigate life's ups and downs long after our work together is complete.
